Get to Know Aylin

Name: Aylin Orhan

Occupation: Junior Designer

Current City: Atlanta, GA

  1. Tell us about your background.
I was born in Cleveland, OH but grew up in Bursa, Turkey. I came back to the United States for college at Northeastern in Boston, where I studied business. Towards the end of college, I realized my passion for a more creative career and began pursuing that passion before moving to Atlanta in the Summer of 2018.

  2. How did you first learn about infinitee and come to join the team?
I was researching agencies in the Atlanta area after moving here and found infinitee’s website. I connected with something… intangible… something that’s difficult to articulate, I really just vibed with them. I was still getting settled in after the move so wasn’t ready to begin applying to jobs yet, but I kept an eye on infinitee for any job openings. I finally decided to reach out to infinitee and the rest, as they say, is history. I joined the team this past February!

  3. How do you spend your work days?
We are lucky enough to have a variety of different clients in different industries at infinitee. This means I get to work on a range of creative projects. My days are a combination of creative design and campaign development.

  4. Before working at infinitee, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
While in college I interned at Pucker Gallery in Boston. It is an eclectic gallery that includes international works in ceramics, photography and mixed media to name a few. It was such a treat getting to be around and support beautiful works of art and it inspired me to follow my interest in a creative field after college.

  5. If you could pick another job  for just one day, what would it be?
Maybe a florist. I love being around flowers and plants. Either that, or anything that has to do with caring for animals or children.

  6. What do you like to do outside of work?
I love photography, traveling, concerts and being outdoors. I also love doing yoga and just hanging out with my fiance. We are currently planning our wedding which will take place in Summer 2020.

  7. What’s the best vacation you’ve been on?
I took a 2-week trip in India by train just before I started working at infinitee. It was very enlightening! My grandparents have been a huge inspiration in my life, so when I had the opportunity to travel to India with them I made it happen. My brother was also able to attend so it became a great trip for me personally and for my family.  During the trip I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a different culture and see people from all over India traveling to a holy site for an important festival. I photographed moments of the trip which have become some of mine and my grandparents’ favorite photos.

  8. What are a few things people don’t know about you?
Well, my family is spread out across the globe and I’m bilingual. I’ve also recently discovered that I’m a great cook— a talent passed down to me from my grandmothers, I’m pretty sure. I love to cook Turkish food but since it’s pretty time intensive, I don’t cook it as much as I’d like. I’m also finding that I’m interested in holistic health and healing practices… but still exploring that area!
